how is the cgc
cgc(reffers to chandighar group of colleges)
- it has two branch
- 1st one is at landran
- 2ns ine is at jhanjeri
know more about cgc(based on student reviews)here you will find all reviews of students of cgc ,you can judge it,should you take addmition of not
- There is no eligibility criteria to get admission in Cgc you just need to pass your 12th board. You can get admission in this college till last week of September. You are just wasting your time, better to find good engineering college because Cgc is not a college it is a school where 75% attendance is compulsory. If your attendance is below 75%then you are not allowed to sit in exam. No students are allowed to roam in college campus during college hour. Here attendance is more important than your academic result.
- 75% in 12th is the eligibilty for CSE. You can get other streams like IT/ECE/ME if you have less %age.
The above info is for CGC Landran campus. The eligibilty might be low for CGC Jhanjeri c campus.

Firstly I want to say cgc is little bit better than others in this region for cs and it 'not for other branches. Specially for mechanical branch , Don't go with mechanical . because here mechanical faculties is avg .they don't have even basic knowledge of it ,and workshop is very bad ,need maintenance of it. (operator and machines both☺️).

B.tech is a professional degree which is pursued after +2.
And in my opinion student should opt colleges by looking at all the pros and cons of the college or university..
Talking about CGC Landran,no doubt that they provide the best placement opportunities for the students and hell lot of companies do come for the drives.
But placement depends a lot on your academic record and CGC Landran affiliated to PTU holds a dirty image of providing low results and unnecessary back logs just for the sake of money. They charge money for each back log paper and they have the routine of declaring mass backlogs in each semester just for the sake of money. This is the major drawback over here..
Poor education system, completely money oriented system.

If you have got an average score and you think that you ain't getting any government college considering your AIR then you can think of taking admission in CGC, it's one of the finest private colleges in northern India . If your score is good enough to get a better government affiliated college then must go for it .
Thanks . Goodluck .
